Tennis Courts
Kensington has two full-size tennis courts and a practice backboard for public use. The courts are located at the park at 59 Arlington Avenue. Weekdays are on a first-come, first-served basis except during KASEP or Summer camp hours. A court can be reserved for 1 hour from 8 AM till sundown (weekends only), and reservations must be made at least 5 days before the visit date, on a midweek. Reservations can be made sooner than 5 days in advance, but you must contact 510-526-4141 x 4 or email rruiz@kppcsd.org for more details and information.

Tennis Court Reservations are only for tennis games. They are not for the use of bikes, rollerblades, or skateboards; there are no exceptions, regardless of any picnic reservation. Misusing the court can significantly damage the surface, causing scratches, scuffs, and potential wear to the acrylic coating, which is not designed to handle the pressure and movement of wheeled activities other than tennis shoes. If courts are being used improperly, please call 510-525-7573 for Kensington police assistance.

Pickleball Court
The court is located just south of the tennis courts and west of the basketball court in Kensington Park. We ask everyone wishing to play to make a reservation by clicking HERE. An account must be created before making the reservations. This reservation system allows the district to track how much use the pickleball court is getting for a future, permanent court.
The court is available for 1 hour, from 8 AM to 8 PM (or sundown), and must be made at least five days before the date requested, on a midweek.
Weekdays are on a first-come, first-served basis, EXCEPT during KASEP/ Summer Camp hours.
